Meet Steve Clarke
Technology Business Partner
Steve, a technology business partner with GreenBOLD, has a wealth of experience from a variety of business sectors including retail, telecommunications, leisure, online and the 3rd Sector—all at senior leadership/director level.
Most recently, Steve has been working with Talk Talk driving a variety of change programmes that have included the closure of 3 Data Centres and the associated system consolidation exercises, billing platform migrations to the strategic in-house billing platform and significantly reducing costs associated with the technology environment, in some cases reducing those costs by more than 50% saving millions off the bottom line.
At the other end of the scale, Steve has recently worked with an internet start-up company that was struggling with the delivery of the website engine and associated functionality to enable the company to get off the ground. Specifically, Steve has helped replace the development function with an outsourced team that are delivering to agreed deadlines which has meant the CEO can now plan a launch schedule, impossible with the previous development team.
Steve is highly experienced in quickly understanding business needs, deriving technology strategy to support that business direction and helping companies improve their bottom line by making their IT more effective and efficient. He is experienced in both insourcing and outsourcing scenarios and project and programme management.
Steve regularly presents at technology conferences on topics as varied as Unified Communications, Talent Management, programme management and Green IT initiatives. He is an active member of Action for Children's ByteNight event.
